Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director, GPS Agile Strategy and Deployment Lead, the senior scrum manager and agile coach plays a key role in embedding an agile culture and ways of working through practice and implementation, building the muscle and establishing the shift in mindset to agile. This important role will be one of the key enablers of simplification efforts and the organizational lift in GPS. This individual will be a senior leader on a team lead that will introduce and scale Agile efforts across the organization. This person will serve on a team of business partners who are strategically enabling Agile transformation “through, with and for the business”. This agile leader will scrum master & coach high-priority, strategic initiative teams, and over time, will also perform larger-scale, Agile program planning, in collaboration with colleagues with other Agile leaders and the GPS project management office. Responsibilities: Co-deliver training that introduces & scales Agile Mindsets, Skillsets, and Ways of Working for Global Product Development & Supply. Contribute to refinement of the learning program & training materials to provide foundational knowledge to all GPS colleagues, and advanced skills to expert Agile practitioners & coaches. Serve as a scrum master and coach on strategic initiative teams (incl. enterprise-wide, cross-functional transformation teams). Supplement training and provide guidance to teams. Partner with strategic initiative leaders to embed Agile project management practices and unblock issues. Craft and implement team-specific Agile growth strategies. Capture lessons learned for institutional knowledge & evolution. Capture key metrics & measures of success for Agile transformation. Enable creation of a wide network of Agile experts embedded in the GPS Organization over time through a 70/20/10 learning approach. Foster professional development for newer scrum masters and practitioners in the Agile Community of Excellence. Lead selected forums. Collaborate with Digital Colleagues and Enterprise colleagues to align on Agile ways of working that supports a GPS context, incl. GxP areas. Strategically select & refine tools/technologies that enable Agile ways of working for various types of settings from initial pilots to Agile at scale. As appropriate, manage external vendors. Manage and/or mentor newer Agile experts. Qualifications Enthusiasm and energy to help transform, with tenacity/perseverance for leading change. Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, business, data science or information systems with a Masters or MBA preferred. 10 years of business experience, including experience leading cross-functional program/project teams. Experience managing direct reports. 5 years in Agile work environments (incl. management consulting experience with some formal agile training) 5 years' experience working in or directly with Global Product Development & Supply organizations. The ideal candidate has worked/is working in a similar role Knowledge of Agile principles and ways of working (Scrum and/or Kanban) required. Experience in implementing Agile at Scale preferred Agile certifications are a plus, e.g. Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or Release Train Engineer (RTE). Lean and Six Sigma certifications are not required but are a plus. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and able to prioritize program execution activities to meet multiple deadlines Proven experience in training and education Keen business acumen Experience working as part of a larger PMO to deliver complex solutions, utilizing an Agile process to call out issues, remove impediments, and manage risk. Experience resolving conflicts and coaching teams to become better-aligned and higher functioning, with an eye on demonstrating those team skills to increase the speed and quality of their deliverables. Passionate about helping others learn, grow and develop. Ability to navigate organization, and identify, align and integrate cross-functional resources into cohesive teams in a highly matrixed environment Familiarity with Atlassian Jira Proven ability to identify innovative ideas through to deployment Experience with Digitalization projects preferred Demonstrated ability to develop new systems Strong Facilitation Skills.
