The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for the successful execution of the E2 Optics Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure projects are constructed in accordance to industry and customer standards. The roles includes planning, coordinating, collaborating and partnering with internal and external parties to support the successful execution within the framework of the E2 Optics QMS. The QA/QC Specialist role also includes serving as an instructor to register, deliver, and teach E2IQ Development and BICSI training programs to successfully transfer technical knowledge to staff in a structured manner.

- Collaborate with customer representatives to coordinate and incorporate applicable quality expectations into the E2 Optics QMS.
- Engage and influence relevant operational personnel to promote their quality awareness to successfully comply with documented specifications and standards.
- Ability to develop QA/QC structure and tools that promote a quality awareness culture. Partner with field staff for successful implementation and execution.
- Issue, record, monitor and close nonconformance reports. Trend data to identify recurring issues.
- Conduct corrective action(s) verification audits for non-conforming observations.
- Train and coach internal employees to integrate quality awareness into daily activities.
- Practice excellence in the transfer of knowledge to trainees using effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Follows and complies applicable BICSI policies and procedures to attain and maintain instruction accreditation.
- Maintains and updates knowledge of industry practices through engagement in academic, professional and technical development activities.
- Collaborates with internal disciplines (Operations, Safety, Quality) to execute internal technical training programs incorporating both academic and hands-on training techniques.
- Performs “Train the Trainer” activities to develop local technical training capabilities for existing content and standards.
- Works with internal subject matter experts to develop standards consistent with training content.
- Conducts duties in a positive and professional manner consistent with E2 Optics business expectations.
- Share better practices, innovations and lessons learned intra/inter-site to anchor them into standards.
- Supports and promotes E2 Optics policies, programs, and services.
- Technical – Serve as a technical resource for structured cabling standards, product selection, design, and installation methods in the field.
- Ability to conduct and support area kickoff meetings for the QA/QC responsibilities.
- Manage First Time Right checklists, ensure FTR checklists are being completed on time by each team.
- Maintain, document and share lessons learned as needed.
- Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 10hr OSHA required, 30hr preferred
- Manufacturer Technical Certifications preferred
- 5 – 7 years telecommunications/low voltage installation of both Copper and Fiber SCS systems.
- 2 years construction/telecommunications/data center industry experience with strong background in multiple facets of the technology.
- 2 years of training and development experience.
- Familiar with Fluke, Viavi and other testing equipment.
- Experience with structured cabling,
- 5 – 7 years telecommunications/low voltage installation of both Copper and Fiber SCS systems.
- 2 years construction/telecommunications/data center industry experience with strong background in multiple facets of the technology.
- 2 years of training and development experience.
- Familiar with Fluke, Viavi and other testing equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
