Position Summary:
The UX Research team is part of the Design org at Earnin. As a team we help inform product direction and decisions. The team also supports all connections and conversations with our customers and builds a culture of being human centered and connecting all employees to customers and research.
You will have the opportunity to think strategically about the product, business, and UI/UX, and help define what User Research looks like for our organization
What You'll Do:
- Manage a small team of UX researchers to create end-to-end user experiences for existing and new product offerings that simplify the user's workflow.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including product management, design, engineering, documentation and analytics teams to create research proposals through understanding the business needs, research goals and target customers.
- Research financial tools and opportunities to support people and our customers on their financial journey.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of strengths and weaknesses of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase
- Recruit, hire and mentor an amazing team of UX Researchers and Designers
- Help build our design and research culture
- Roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 6 years experience as a User Researcher, and 2 or more years of experience as a manager
- Experience designing, planning and implementing comprehensive user research practices
- Ability to balance true creativity, the needs of the business, and what is best for our users and community
- You are extraordinarily skilled in both written and spoken communication with the ability to influence company decisions
- Experience combining qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Experience leading research projects that have had lasting impact on product and design decisions.
