X-Ray Technologist (Imaging Specialist II) |#Hale Ho#ola Hamakua, Radiology Diagnostic Unit | Honoka#a, Hawaii | 10% Part-Time without Benefits Salary: $34.26 per hour (SR-18,#BU:73) Hale Ho`ola Hamakua is a 77-bed Critical Access Hospital located in the rural town of Honoka‛a on the Big Island of Hawaii. Honoka‛a is situated approximately 1-hour north of Hilo, Hawaii, and approximately 1 1/2-hour drive to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Position Focus: This position is responsible for independently performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing ionizing radiation-producing equipment.# Education: Associate#s or#Bachelor#s degree from an approved program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Excess work experience as described below in the experience requirement section or any other responsible professional work experience; which provided knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to those acquired#while completing a college or university curriculum leading to#an associate or baccalaureate degree#may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. To be acceptable, the experience must have been of such scope, level and quality as to assure the possession of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities Experience: Six (6) months of progressively responsible professional imaging technologist/specialist experience which demonstrated a thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and/or techniques such as milligrams, disco grams arteriograms, etc., including the X-raying of such areas of the human anatomy as the chest, skull, gastro-intestinal tract, urinary tract, and vascular system. Licensure: A current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer at the time of appointment. Certification: A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography at the time of appointment. Additionally, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six (6) months of employment. Substitution of Experience for Education: Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology with a certificate or associate degree and two (2) years of professional radiology#experience may substitute for a bachelor#s degree. Excess work experience as described under the Imaging or Specialized Experience Requirement which provided knowledge, skills and abilities comparable to those acquired in four (4) years of successful study while completing a college or university curriculum leading to a bachelor#s degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Substitution of Experience: Excess work experience as described under the Specialized Experience Requirement may be substituted for Imaging Experience on a year-for-year basis. Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary, based on hospital operations (services are provided 24/7). MEDICAL/PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT:##Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen.# The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.#Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen.# The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
