East Valley Urgent Pet Care aims to provide high quality, pet and owner-centered, compassionate urgent care veterinary medicine in East Mesa, AZ.
East Valley Urgent Pet Care will serve as an essential bridge between general practice and emergency room veterinarians for pet owners in need of urgent vet care in the community.
With extended evening and weekend hours, our team will offers urgent vet care services for pet owners who cannot wait for an appointment with their family veterinarian. East Valley Urgent Pet Care aims to treat pets like family in a welcoming, low-stress environment that uses modern technologies and practices to provide the highest quality urgent pet care.

Responsibilities:
- Exceptional Customer service
- Be the face and first line impression of the clinic
- Be respectful of client time and concerns
- Maintain the appearance of the front office through cleaning and organization
- Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with other employees
- Follow hospital guidelines for communicating with clients in various situations
- Answering phones quickly and efficiently while utilizing proper telephone etiquette
- Operate a multiple line telephone system
- Active listening skills to obtain all necessary medical and personal information from clients
- Communicate with clients regarding medical billing and financial expectations with care
- Monitor wait times
- Handle client correspondence including reminders, follow up calls, thank you cards, sympathy cards, etc.
- Proficient use of computer systems
- Generate financial and other reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Express a genuine liking for animals and working in an animal care environment
- Previous front desk and/or customer service experience desirable
- Previous veterinary practice experience preferred but not required
- Basic computer knowledge and typing skills required
- Emotional intelligence
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to multitask
- Basic knowledge of veterinary medical terms
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, nights
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
