Eastown Veterinary Clinic is currently hiring for a part-time or full-time Veterinary Receptionist / Customer Service Rep to help maintain seamless operations and provide exceptional customer service at our clinic in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This part- or full-time administrative position earns a competitive hourly rate of $15 - $17/hour

DAY-TO-DAY
In this Veterinary Receptionist / Customer Service Rep role, you help ensure the success of our animal hospital through seamless office operations and happy clients and pets! Your daily tasks include interacting with clients, taking phone calls to schedule and confirm appoints, and providing needed instructions for our clients. Being personable and friendly means you can connect with our diverse client base and maintain a positive office environment for our team and those who utilize our services. As clients and their pets arrive, you warmly welcome them, obtain all necessary information, and direct them to their exam rooms. Further, you adequately communicate and educate clients about our services and products, as well as offer monthly promotions. Your positive and accommodating demeanor allows you to connect with clients who may be frustrated with their vet care or experience, and in need of veterinary services that are better suited for their individual needs. You help grow our clinic by working with those clients and converting them to happy and loyal patients!
On top of working directly with clients and their animals, you complete a variety of administrative tasks including entering and retrieving records and fees, generating reports, and processing payments. Ultimately, we rely on your knowledge, expertise, and dedication to quality customer service and animal care to maintain the successful operations of our clinic!

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST / CUSTOMER SERVICE REP
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years old or older
- Knowledge about veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology
- Foundational knowledge about medications and their side effects
- Comfortable handling and restraining animals
- Basic computer skills
- Above average customer service skills
