What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at Eat Drink & Be Merry?
Responsibilities:
· Consistently ideate, create, and execute content in line with our brand guidelines across social media and digital platforms including but not limited to Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube – including filming & editing reels, grid posts, and live night of content
· Expected to schedule all necessary means for content, ex. Scheduling staff
· Conceptualize content activations and strategic social media campaigns
· Manage all day-to-day content and posting on social media channels for multiple locations inclusive of Instagram grid posts, stories, and reels
· Create weekly content calendars – including writing of captions, hashtag selection, tagging up to 20 appropriate accounts, and staying on brand aesthetically
· Oversee engagement – make note of what works and what doesn’t
· Maintain relationships and engage in meaningful interactions
· Manage comments and respond to direct messages
· Create and execute actionable plans to grow and maintain followers
· Identify untapped opportunities for our brands within social media and digital platforms
· Work with Marketing Manager to compile list of influencers/brands for potential partnerships and help engage with them
· Research relevant competitors and industry experts to be constantly up to date on the hospitality industry
Hours
· 20-30 in store weekly
· Remainder of hours can be done at home but must hit a minimum of 40 hours a week which will be logged daily in our notes section
· Busy season at each bar varies from season to season and some schedules/months may be expected to be more in store or night work then others
Qualifications:
· 1-2 year’s experience in social media and digital platform management
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications business, marketing, journalism, or related field
· Should thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Be excited to bring new ideas to the table and constantly be “in the know” of what’s happening/trending
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Understanding of the hospitality industry
· Extensive portfolio demonstrating work in the aforementioned apps
· Works well in a team/collaborative environment
· Sense of humor and desire to have fun!
· Experience using applications such as Canva, Adobe CC, Photoshop, and InDesign strongly recommended
· Photography and videographer knowledge strongly recommended
