Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, NE plant. Relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the manufacturing engineering team and skilled trades personnel in the design, development, and fabrication of manufacturing equipment and upgrading of process technology.

In this role, you will:
- Manages manufacturing engineering group responsible for introduction of advanced technologies into production methods and equipment.
- Evaluates design proposals from within and outside the engineering group for manufacturing feasibility, functionality and applicability.
- Develops projects for inclusion in capital budgets and manages those projects to target date completion.
- Assigns design projects and tasks to appropriate personnel and ensures they are completed by target date.
- Collaborates with the New Products team on new product launches and product changes. Responsible for the implementation of all new products into manufacturing for equipment sourcing and installation.
- Evaluates new technologies for application in future equipment designs.
- Utilizes statistical process control methods, EBS, lean tools, six sigma, and other methods to improve production methods.
- Prepares capital appropriation requests for departmental projects.
- Develops departmental personnel by appropriate project assignment and providing learning opportunities.
- Uses department resources to support and solve problems in other areas of the plant.
- Works with staff to develop and achieve goals for the plant.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from accredited institution
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in engineering
- Minimum two (2) years' of manager of people experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business or Engineering
