Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA location. Relocation assistance will be provided within the United States.
Position Overview:
The Associate Product Manager is a key member of the team and will manage assignments to meet objectives under the guidance of a Product Manager. Primary responsibilities at this level include leading cross-functional teams, managing projects, executing new product development projects, performing business analysis, and tracking and supporting the product managers with overall brand marketing management.

In this function you will:
- Drive the P&L for a set of commercial and industrial wiring device products to meet financial goals and other strategic business targets.
- Support the product managers by implementing strategic product and business plans targeting market segments, industries, and customers.
- Work with product managers to improve profit and return on investment of product lines.
- Undertake and lead cost reduction, capacity planning, and quality improvement projects within established guidelines.
- Support product forecasting, SKU rationalization, packaging and graphics changes, and product master data maintenance.
- Review and approve special pricing requests, maintain price lists and develop pricing strategies for new and existing products.
- With assistance from product managers, lead new product development and VAVE activities.
- Develop product promotion and commercialization plans including sales tools, literature, distribution, stocking, training and sampling.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to reduce finished good inventory and E&O.
- Develop and maintain knowledge base for electrical codes and standards.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years' experience in new product development using a Phase Gate process
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the electrical industry
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a role that demonstrates analytical and leadership abilities, time management, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Experience with residential and commercial electrical codes and standards such as UL, IEC, ASHRAE etc.
- Experience with commercial and/or industrial customer segments and/or products is preferred
- Preferred experience with Agile methodologies to drive new product development
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to drive out cost and improve product profitability
- Capable of developing test and validation plans as part of the New Product Development process
- Ability to analyze the industry, integrate disparate information into a coherent story and actionable strategy
- Ability to lead and influence multifunctional team without direct reporting relationship
- Strong drive for results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
