Eaton’s Aerospace Sector is currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, MS facility and relocation services are provided.
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Financial Analyst will manage all product costing requirements for the site – maintain accurate product standard / current costing in the system (MFG Pro). Implement and manage a Bill of Material (BOM) audit process. Support monthly close / forecast process including analysis and explanations for variances. Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities. Proactive support on developing new procedures and process improvements to enhance financial control and reporting.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for Cost accounting in all product line assuring accurate and timely financial data is available monthly for review.
- Provides timely divisional/plant financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies.
- Liaison with operations to analyze and explain all manufacturing variances – help in identifying corrective actions.
- Serve as a key contributor to the monthly closing & rolling forecast processes providing high quality, timely, and accurate information to the controller and accounting team. Additionally, responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations and providing guidance on accounting adjustments.
- Responsible for the reviewing, analyzing, and updating of product costs.
- Maintain internal controls of inventory through reliable financial reporting
- Make recommendations, develop, and implement process improvements in support of departmental goals.
- Assist in preparation of strategic planning activities, profit planning, and month end closing requirements.
- Assist in regular external audits, internal audit, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
- Manage site Finance Intern participant.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum of three (3) years accounting/finance experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA/CPA/CMA
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cost accounting and/or manufacturing financial analysis
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with Lean tools/methodologies.

- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working Knowledge and understanding of Encore / DFT / MFG Pro / Oracle
- Ability to execute projects efficiently and effectively, work under tight timelines and in a multi-task project environment
- Desire to expand knowledge and drive continuous improvement
