Maintenance Manager

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager. This position is located at our South Bend, IN facility. Relocation is offered for this opportunity within the United States.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the development, management, and execution of maintenance initiatives to support achievement of business objectives.

The South Bend plant is a part of Eaton’s Industrial Sector and produces forgings in support of the Mobility Group North America Division. The facility is an integral part of the division’s growth and operational platforms worldwide.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do

The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians to organize, plan and monitor the repair, replacement, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of forging related equipment.

• Lead South Bend’s maintenance department, in the maintenance and repairs of various types of production equipment, facility maintenance, critical spares, upgrades and projects including managing outside contractors, and quoting.
• Maintain and manage preventative maintenance plans for equipment and facilities activities
• Manage Capital and expense projects for equipment upgrades and improvements
• Plan and direct scheduled or unplanned maintenance activities and establish maintenance priorities in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
• Review and analyze maintenance metrics and operational reports to determine causes of equipment failure and reliability.
• Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products.
• Establish and maintain staffing and required training/development to ensure support of the operations.
• Ensure compliance and maintain local plant policies and practice requirements to all mandatory environmental and safety regulations.
• Actively participate in lean/5S/continuous improvement activities related to the facility as needed.
• Confer with operations to direct the inspection of machinery determining root causes of malfunction while performing diagnostic checks.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Required Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum Associates Degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of seven (7) years experience in an industrial maintenance role OR Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of two (2) years experience in an industrial maintenance role
• Minimum one (1) year experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
• Relocation is available for this position within the United States/PR. Candidates that locally reside within a 50 mile radius of South Bend, IN will also be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
