Eaton’s Electrical Sector, Protection, Control, and Solution (PCS) division is currently seeking a Materials Manager to lead our Global Americas regional team.
The role can be located at our Pittsburgh, PA; Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC, Peachtree City, GA; Southfield, MI; or Menomonee Falls, WI locations. Local and International travel up to 25% will be required.
Our PCS Materials Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, directing, and coordinating the materials management function continuous improvement and operational excellence internal strategies. Lead the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process for the PCS group to develop plans to meet business and financial objectives. Cross-functional collaboration will be key within across the business to synchronize demand, supply and finance plans while balancing service level and inventory value. In addition, deep analytical skills will be pivotal to support SIOP demand planning, operational execution, and financial alignment.
In this role you will:
- Lead the integrated SIOP program for all operations to achieve financial objectives and lead the SIOP process deployment and maturity.
- Responsible of the Inter Units SIOP and Materials planning for PCS that will improve the downstream of Electrical Sector to support sales and growth.
- Recommend, develop, and manage plans to improve materials management, logistics and procurement processes and results, Utilizing Eaton Business System (EBS).
- Lead Supply Chain Business Process Improvement activities (Rapid Improvement Events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S , Boot Camps etc.). Monitors and tracks performance improvement related to activities and implements process checks to ensure sustained performance.
- Responsible for Days on Hand target and materials driven On Time Performance improvement actions, working with plants to identify and execute on improvement projects.
- Lead Supply Chain Digitization efforts by developing/ identifying automation opportunties for reports, processes and tools related to SIOP and Materials Management.
- Lead On-time delivery, Inventory Optimization and Materials Excellence projects for PCS divisions, distribution center and manufacturing facilities.
- Lead PCS Lean Material Flow (ELSS) journey, working with plant OpEx and Supply Chain Managers to develop a pipeline of LTL and LTE certified individuals at the division and manufacturing facility level.
- Reviews and audits manufacturing facility supply chain processes to ensure process improvements completed and assessed in functional assessments are maintained.
- Develop training, standard work and work instructions for various supply chain roles, ensuring development of materials management expertise in new and existing SCM employees.
- Leads and supports Physical Inventory and Cycle Count processes to drive enhancements to material availability and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience with Mapics/SAP
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in Supply Chain role
- Minimum of five (5) years managing people or project team
Skills and Position Criteria:
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- CPIM/ APICS Certification
- Continuous Improvement (CI) Certifications
The expected annual salary range for this role is $131,000 - $192,000 a year.
