What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Test Technician position at Eaton?
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a NDT Test Technician.
The hours for this role are 6am - 2pm
The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- This position is responsible for non-destructive pressure testing and visual evaluation of repaired products using pressure test equipment in accordance with applicable Eaton, customer, or industry specification(s).
- Pressure test aircraft ducting systems using High Pressure and Burst Tests
- Prepare test reports to document findings, as needed.
- Ability to work with ERP system (MFGPro) to process parts through the system.
- Serializing parts to properly identify part placement.
- Using 2D Part Marking System
- Conducting underwater visual examination to ensure quality of weld and leakage.
- Reading routers for drawing requirements and determining marking specs and location
- Performing visual inspection to detect damages that may occur prior to delivery to the workstation.
- Printing and filling out ATP form.
- Weighing, measuring, and checking parts meet drawing requirements.
- Multi-tasking and prioritizing parts to sustain on time delivery.
Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 year’s experience in manufacturing environment
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Must be authorized to work in the US for ongoing basis without company sponsorship for visa.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
Skills:
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Capable of interpreting aerospace drawings and using measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, measuring scale, and pi tape.
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs. without assistance.
- Requires frequent lifting, bending and operation of mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to use both hands constantly and work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day.
- Minimum of 270 hours training required for FPI certification.
- Manufacturing environment which requires proper personal protection equipment (PPE).
- FAA safety critical work per 14 CFR 120. Requires participation in DOT approved random drug test program.
