Eaton’s EPG CHD ALP Airport Lighting Products division is currently seeking a Team Lead, Lighting. The core hours are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is 27.67 per hour.

Oversee production in our control and regulator departments in order to ensure that productivity and quality are maximized.
- Responsible for safety in the cell, adhering to all safety rules and programs, and attending all required safety training
- Operate and lead in a team environment, communicating daily work assignments and aligning priorities to include assembly and testing
- Motivate, oversee, and train employees in order to maintain efficiency and meet production goals
- Ensure that employees adhere to Company policies, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and GMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), notifying Supervisors of any discrepancies or issues
- Monitor production flow, troubleshoot problems, make equipment adjustments as needed, and apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve assembly operations
- Accurately maintain all production paperwork and enter production data into SAP
- Set up cell or assist with cell set up as needed
- Perform tasks related to inventory control, reconciliation, and tracking of products and components, ensuring that both are correct and properly placed in the cell
- Allocate material in and out of the work order and reject, report, and transact discrepant materials
- Maintain cleanliness through good housekeeping 5S practices
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- A minimum of three (3) years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Windsor, CT will be considered for this position.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of airport lighting products assembly experience
Position Criteria:
- Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment required and comply with all Safety policies
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to assemble, disassemble, and test all sub-assemblies
- Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and other Production paperwork
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and train others accordingly
- Must be able to identify that the components used meet quality standards
- Ability to complete required paperwork
- Must be able to work overtime and be flexible when required
- Ability to be flexible and willing to learn and perform a variety of tasks
