Under limited supervision, complete measurement of incoming material to confirm material are compliant with requirements. This will include working with suppliers to determine corrective actions and. This position will also work with other department employees to resolve internal quality issues and concerns. Additionally, this position will work with Industrial Engineering to support process improvements and new product introductions.
Duties and Responsibilities

Inspecting incoming materials to ensure quality standards from suppliers are being met.
Performing supplier corrective actions where necessary
Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
Perform inspections across all stages of production.
Completes quality control documentation as required to collect needed data.
Utilizes calibrated measurement tools to evaluate part tolerances, such as micrometers, calipers and CMM.
Assist in the design and development of new processes, and procedures used in the assembly and testing of products.
Assist with process improvements, including time studies, equipment trials and equipment prove outs.
Assist production staff with troubleshooting of equipment and processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Associated Degree in a technical field, or High Diploma with suitable work experience.
At least 3 years work experience in a manufacturing setting, with Quality Control experience preferred.
At least 2 years reading engineering drawings and technical documents.
Demonstrated teamwork skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with intermediate Excel skill level preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous auditing experience preferred but not required.
Previous experience with Lean and / or Six Sigma Principles preferred but not required.
Position is exposed to a mixture of office and production environments. Temperatures will usually be comfortable, with adequate lighting and moderate noise levels.
Prolonged periods of standing on Shop floor or Inspection Area.
Prolonged periods of sitting preforming data entry.
