Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day Warehouse data entry operations.
Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
- Receive incoming air and sea shipments by container number as needed.
- Create folders for all incoming shipments.
- Verify freight bills for payment.
- Coordinate the inbound and outbound common carrier activity.
- Verify completed shipments to close out open sales orders and invoice customers when needed.
- Be familiar with H.T.S. (Harmonized Tariff Codes) codes.
- Operate and train the use of MAC-PAC’s auto pick screens.
- Assist in the review and solution of inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor sales orders in the released but not verified status to resolve problems.
- Call and contract alternative trucking companies for special circumstance shipments.
- Coordinate international shipments with Freight Forwarder. Prepare all documentation as required for these shipments.
This may include (but not be limited to) use of our custom applications in MAC-PAC. Train others in the proper format and rules of customs documentation.
- Coordinate inbound sea and airfreight with Freight Forwarder.
- Work with other departments as required.
- Maintain all finished customer paperwork in organized manner.
- Assure that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price and meets the quality standards of the company.
- Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Process receiving paperwork as necessary.
- Expedite delivery of goods.
- Use the following software programs while performing the job: MAC-PAC, Nutech, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree in a related field; or minimum of two years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
