In this role you will:
- Work with various insurance industry personnel to revise coverage, renew and create insurance policies and proposal packages – handles presentation of same
- In coordination with Producers, coordinate logistics of the overall Account Management process
- Issue and process various insurance documents, such as Certificates of Insurance, invoicing, renewals, etc.
- Review customer contracts to assure compatibility of coverages with contract requirements
- Review policies for accuracy and follow-up of needed corrections.
- Provide high level assistance to clients and customers to satisfactorily resolve business account issues.
- Provide hands on support to existing accounts and clients. (e.g., answering questions, furnishing supporting documentation, interpreting and communicating policy coverage, etc.).
- May perform cross-functional tasks and serve as back-up to other members of staff members or management team
- Promote account “rounding” identifying potential exposures of existing clients. Identifying & recommending suitable coverage to address such exposures
- Input information and track activities in account management system software program
- Assist in designing workflows for the area, assists with and help design training and development for the commercial lines staff
You have:
- High school degree and minimum 10 year’s account management/customer service experience in the Commercial Lines - Property and Casualty insurance industry
- Current Property and Casualty license in the state of Alabama
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience/skills with varied commercial software programs including Microsoft Office
- Fundamental mathematical skills and the ability to perform basic calculations for policy needs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects/customers and assignments as evidenced by a quantifiable track record in prior positions
- CISR Designation
You may have:
- Bachelor’s or other educational degree(s)
- CIC, CRM, CPCU or other professional designations
- Experience using varied agency management systems, including, but not limited to: Vertafore Agency Platform/AMS360/Work Smart/Image Right and others
- Prior experience in presentations and preparation of similar for both internal and external audiences
