Job Summary:
The Subscription Services Division of EBSCO Information Services (EIS), located in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Manager for the Academic Research Team for our Publisher Operations Group. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, independent self-starter with an excellent work-ethic who wants to be challenged and grow. The Manager will have the opportunity to work with our domestic and international EBSCO team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of approximately 8 people responsible for working with Academic publishers to maintain their catalog of products and services within EBSCO’s product file
- Analyze information and processes and develop more effective or efficient processes and strategies
- Regularly review team performance; collaborate with them on improvement initiatives and objectives
- Hire, train, motivate and coach employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to offices, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training
- Foster a growth mindset in all employees
- Frequently review reporting/KPIs to measure quality and performance factors
- Assist with special projects and analysis as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years continuous office experience in a corporate or academic setting
- Ability to work with all levels of management
- 1 years managing / working in a large project team type of environment
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Essential Job Functions:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience with AppSheet
