Job Overview:

The Senior Lead, Enterprise Process Improvement (EPI) within the Transformation Office will be responsible for the strategic project planning and execution of a set of key Enterprise Process Improvement initiatives established by the Senior Leadership team (C-suite). This role requires an experienced leader with a strong background in process improvement and proven track record for delivering significant business results (e.g., reducing costs and complexity for colleagues and customers). This role will interact closely with senior leadership and cross-functional working teams to define deliverables, structure project work plans, and provide thought leadership to solve the most complex process improvement problems. Responsible to report and communicate the results from process improvement efforts to key stakeholders including C-suite executives and other senior leaders. This role reports to the Director, Enterprise Process Improvement. Perform other duties as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for developing the strategic project plan, including the defining the key deliverables, structured work plans, RACIs, etc. to facilitate a shared understanding of project scope and roadmap to deliver agreed upon outcomes
  • Provide thought leadership to solve the most complex process improvement problems
  • Serve as a dedicated resource working directly with senior leaders and their teams to support process improvement – design and coordinate deep dives with various cross functional partners, interviews with frontline colleagues to identify key pain points, and bring the cross-functional teams together to simplify their processes; empower the business teams to own the decisions with an Enterprise continuous improvement mindset
  • Champion the EPI methodology with cross-functional working teams while executing the established roadmap
  • Report and communicate the results from process improvement efforts to key stakeholders including C-suite executives and other senior leaders
  • Proven track record for building strong relationships to enhance collaboration between EPI team and functional partners
  • Assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping stakeholder through change
  • Utilize process improvement principles and tools to achieve significant improvement results
  • Anticipate and proactively manage program risks and issues that impact program progress
  • Drives a sense of urgency and diligence in execution – a strong bias to action and focus on value generation
  • Provides executive team adequate information and guidance to support its decision making
  • Deliver practical solutions and methodologies to solve complex business problems
  • Monitor performance and improvement in key metrics
  • Deliver operational improvement and financial benefits to meet or exceed annual targets
  • Vet new project opportunities and drive the develop of the corresponding business cases
  • Develop and share best practices among fellow process improvement partners across the organization
  • Role models core transformation mindsets and disciplines to orient the organization toward full impact potential
  • Provides coaching and capability building to the broader Transformation team in new EPI methodology
  • Fosters a team culture of empowerment and personal growth and development  

Education & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree of MBA preferred
  • 6 years working in process related role required, 3 years in process design role preferred
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills (oral, written and listening); ability to understand, organize and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences; ability to develop, document, communicate and operationalize new processes
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and derive data-driven insights through logic and frameworks; Retail and business acumen to understand and evaluate new and existing business strategies, as well as implementation risks, across the full scope of an omnichannel retailer
  • Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team; experience managing team through an operational turnaround of significant step-change; track record of consistently delivering high-impact results; excellent problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills; proficient in Microsoft office Applications
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs; regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
