What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at ECCO?
As an assistant manager, you will be leading the sales team and daily operations while helping with marketing, buying, and merchandising. You help set the tone for customers and help direct the day-to-day operations of the store. You will develop strategies to improve customer retention, drive store sales, and create marketing initiatives that will increase sales and grow our customer base. As you gain more sales experience, you will also be trained in buying, inventory management, and have the possibility of going on buyer's trips!
TASKS:
- Lead the sales floor with excellent customer service, personal styling, and a genuine desire to help customers feel and look their best
- Establish rapport with current and potential customers
- Maintain extensive product knowledge of all inventory
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations
- Ensure that our team is working effectively and hitting sales goals
- Assist in managing inventory: making sure everything hits the floor correctly, is priced right, and markdowns are taken in a timely manner
- Monitor, support, and coach fellow employees to ensure they reach their true potential
- React and adapt quickly to change and make timely, thoughtful decisions
- Assist in maintaining the stability and reputation of the store
- Create a welcoming environment full of warmth and friendliness to our customers
- Collaborate with team on marketing strategies and content creation.
