What will you do?

The Director/Associate Director, Investor Relations will report to the Senior Director, Investor Relations and be responsible for operations and analytics to support Blueprint’s engagement with the investor community and shape cohesive communication plans as part of a cross-functional team. This is a highly visible and critical role that will partner and collaborate with Blueprint Medicines’ Executive Leadership Team, Corporate Communications, Finance, Clinical, Commercial, and Legal functions to ensure we are building and articulating our story in support of our business and scientific objectives. The Director/Associate Director, Investor Relations will be immersed in all aspects of investor relations including maintaining the investor relations calendar, tracking and analyzing the investor landscape, and managing sell-side and buy-side relationships. He/she will help shape the corporate messaging to align messaging across senior leadership.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Create and drive an active Investor Relations calendar and logistics around investor events including earnings release calls, roadshows, investor/ analyst calls, professional industry meetings and schedule management’s attendance at all investor-related meetings.
  • Develop and execute a strategic buy-side and sell-side targeting program.
  • Act as a corporate liaison to institutional investors and sell-side analysts; provide accurate, consistent and timely responses to inquiries from investors and analysts.
  • Routinely track and analyze sell-side models and consensus estimates, with engagement and input from the Finance teams; assess implications for communication and engagement.
  • Lead quarterly shareholder analyses and present findings to executive team and other functional collaborators.
  • Maintain and communicate competitive intelligence and analysis on industry peers to leadership team.
  • Follow market and industry trends and monitor the competitive landscape, including market and industry trends, to develop executive summaries for senior leaders and board on peer company news, financial and market share performance.
  • Provide executive team with accurate and timely updates of the company’s positioning with analysts and key shareholders, as well as overall market trends in the biotech investor community.
  • Provide practical and meaningful Investor Relations support to management, including counseling and advising executives regarding investor events.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to ensure a consistent message on branding and strategy.
  • Generate and collaborate on the creation of compelling, strategic messages and content for IR-related materials including presentations, press releases, call scripts, and more.

 

What basic qualifications do we require?

  • BA or BS required; MBA or MD/PhD or other technical degree is a plus
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, including progressive investor relations experience, with a demonstrated understanding of the biotechnology industry (pharmaceutical or biotech company experience is essential)

 

What additional qualifications are we seeking?

  • Exceptional written and oral communication along with confident presentation skills to communicate with sophisticated financial investors.
  • Ability to interact with senior management and manage the communication of sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven ability to maintain and grow relationships with the investment community.
  • Knowledge of SEC regulatory requirements and disclosures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline line driven environment.
  • Effective prioritization skills – adept in quickly identifying critical tasks/issues and deploying a solution-oriented approach.
  • Outstanding communication skills and experience delivering clear messaging of scientific and clinical topics, as well as financial data, across a variety of audiences
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with others and integrate him/herself smoothly into the broader organization.
