Position Summary
With the support of the Regional Manager, plan oversee and evaluate instructional activities which promote developmentally appropriate children learning; train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; serve as the coordinator of the curriculum, staff, and program development. As the leader of the building, the Center Director must be able to meet the needs of the business which requires a flexible schedule to accommodate day-to-day operations, emergent situations, as well as afterhours family and community events. The expectation is to be on-site Monday – Friday, arriving no later than 9am. All management schedules will be approved by the Regional Director.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day center operations in line with our early childhood philosophy and best practice standards.
- Support teachers in the planning and execution of curriculum development.
- Partner with the recruiting team to identify quality staff; interview and onboard candidates and schedule and allocate staff across the center.
- Be a sales advocate for the center and successfully drive and grow enrollment by focusing on new enrollments, tours, marketing, and community engagement.
- Develop and execute monthly engagement and marketing plan to increase enrollment; attend community marketing events, plan enrollment and retention activities for families and staff.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and currently enrolled families; create positive partnerships with families.
- Manage tuition, payroll, and center expenses in line with budget allocation.
- Advocate for the safety and well-being of children and families and, deploy and exemplify early childhood standards best practices.
- Develop and teach staff by conducting ongoing observations, staff training, coaching, and embedded professional development opportunities.
- Ensure orientation and training is received by all new and experienced teachers and equip employees with job-critical knowledge and education.
- Performed related duties as assigned by the Regional Director.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or a baccalaureate or advanced degree in any field
- At least 30 credit hours in early childhood education
- Experience teaching children aged 0-5 years old
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to and passion for educating young children
- Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool
- Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Excessive climbing, walking, bending, stretching and sitting on floor with children
- Exposure to childhood illnesses and diseases
- Exposure to varying outside temperatures (heat and cold)
Salary - $55,000-60,000/yr.
