The Business Intelligence Analyst II position provides an active and challenging career opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers and providing high quality data analysis solutions. This is an experienced member of the Data and Reporting Team and must be a problem-solver focused on the ability to present in a user-friendly manner analytic data to help our customers gain value from the data contained within their system. This position reports to the Data Conversion Manager. Our data team converts data for new implementations, designs custom reports and dashboards, and provides custom analytics for the Building and Construction market. We engage in coordination with customers to ensure they have accurate and complete information and analytic tools from which to run their respective businesses. This position can be in our Latham, NY office or remote for the right person. Qualifications:Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline. Education requirements may be satisfied with commensurate experience 4-7 years of experience with progressively challenging responsibilities in report and dashboard design, and development. Data analytics experience related to ERP, supply chain and/or point-of-sale solutions. Ownership mentality to guide tasks to completion and deliver quality solutions in a timely manner Strong UI/UX capabilities to create best in class data presentation output Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion. Mid-level MS SQL Database knowledge is required General knowledge of Excel and data manipulation tools and techniques and a basic level of mathematical skills. Should be able to meet due dates of multiple concurrently running projects. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and have an attention to detail and process Should work well with a team and be able to communicate and share knowledge with peers. Should have some understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Inventory Control Ability to understand general ledger and financial reporting Should possess a desire to improve the team’s processes provide quality control Preferred: Formal training in report and dashboard design desirable Experience in Lumber and Building Materials vertical space desirable Experience using VersionOne or Jira a plus Experience with iDashboards from TruOI is preferrable Responsibilities:Engineer and design reports for our ERP and per custom request from our customers Engineer and design analytical dashboards for our ERP and per custom request from our customers Enhance and maintain and test core reports and dashboards. Collaborate with the Product Management team and stakeholders to understand the customer, business, and market needs and ensure alignment with product portfolio vision, portfolio roadmap & integration, and stability across verticals and products with guidance from Senior BA’s and Product Manager. Translate the customer, business, and market needs into product requirements that solve the business problemEvaluate and invent new feature ideas.Participate in the product life cycle from conception through release Enjoy spending time in the market to understand opportunities or issues, and find innovative solutions Represents, interfaces with, and engages with business users Use clear goals to communicate project vision at the beginning of every release and sprint so that the team understands the target objectives Communicates status outside the team and provides progress reporting for transparency. Success Criteria: This position requires 0% to 10% travel and the ability to work across time-zones.
