As a member of Eckerd Connects Project Bridge's education staff, you will make a difference in the life of a youth. Our student population are at-risk youth who need an instructor who believes, cares, and helps them succeed
Project Bridge GED Instructors work in small groups and with individual students on personalized learning plans to help students strengthen their academic skills to earn their GED certificates or for work as a pathway to stability and success.

Hourly Range: $17.00 to $18.50
Key Expectations of this Position
• Create a professional, respectful, student-centered learning environment for personalized instruction. We provide instructors with curriculum, assessment tools, and other electronic resources; we need you to do the magic!
• Classroom management and interpersonal skills are essential to build the student-instructor relationships needed for student success.
• Strong verbal and written skills are required for professional-level reporting, whether daily, through bi-weekly meetings, monthly reports, etc.
• Instructors are role models and education advocates for our at-risk youth.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• At least one year experience in coaching, training, or teaching is preferred.
• Experience teaching GED test prep skills also preferred.
• Experience educating at-risk youth population a plus.
• This position may be required to travel to satellite/community-based learning sites on a weekly basis

About Our Program:
Eckerd Connects' Project Bridge provides transitional services to boys and girls ages 11-21 reintegrating back to their home communities from residential commitment programs. Through an innovative partnership, this program supports the mission and vision of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to increase post-placement stability of youth through transition coordination from residential placement.
