Position Overview

We are looking for a confident expeditor to locate and follow through the flow of work in our operation. The expeditor will strategize and oversee activities related to scheduling of order processing, determine lead times and completion dates, work with other stakeholders to maintain priorities and make sure orders will meet the requested deadlines and shipping targets, and forward issues to management.

To ensure success you need to apply your skills, knowledge, and experience as an expeditor to ensure swift, seamless processes. Preferred candidates are organized and highly motivated team players.

$2,000.00 Hiring Bonus! $1,000 after 180 days, and $1,000 after 1 year

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Serves as main point of contact for customers as specified by management providing timely and accurate responses

· Receive and schedule and change requests according to established department policies and procedures

· Work cross functionally with Sales, Order Entry, Production, Quality and Shipping to schedule orders and meet customer requirements

· Communicate timelines and schedules based on production flow and capabilities to meet customer orders

· Manage customer due dates communicate necessary information

· Grow professional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders

· Perform clerical duties and maintain accurate records and files of activities

· Communicate with clients and shippers and resolve any complaints.

· Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders

· Collaborate with other internal departments to optimize processes

· Ensure compliance to company policies

· Report to management on activities and issues

· Provides other support to management as requested and needed

Requirements and skills:

· Minimum of two year of proven experience as expeditor or production planner/customer service in manufacturing environments preferred

· Good analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills

· Good organizational and time-management skills

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office

· Attention to detail

· Ability to multitask

· Company and job-specific training will be provided as needed throughout employment

· Ability to work well and communicate clearly with management and coworkers

· High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent

· Must pass pre-employment drug test

Physical Demands

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Frequent standing and walking

· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

· Office setting in manufacturing/distribution facility environment.

· Exposure to plant and warehouse environment including heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and significantly loud noise

· Exposure to moving equipment throughout the factory or warehouse

· Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company
