JOB TITLE: Mgr, Quality Assurance
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Manager will develop, implement, monitor and continuously improve production and repair processes, quality programs, training programs, warehousing processes and logistics. This role establishes, tests and ensures compliance with global standards for device testing, data wipe, repair and certification, including compliance with R2, ISO and other standards. This position is responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of grading, processing and repair work performed by the internal teams and holding the teams’ leaders accountable to their SLA’s. This role also leads the design and implementation of new/improved triage, repair, data wipe, quality assurance, warehousing, materials handling, logistics and resource allocation systems. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for completing root cause analysis, corrective actions and control plans. This role will need to demonstrate leadership skills leading a team of Quality Assurance auditors that will perform process and product audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of quality auditors that will complete process audits
- Perform internal audits utilizing the quality system and reporting findings with recommendations for corrective action
- Collaborate and organize with a cross functional team on action items
- Create a formalized process improvement program to address processing challenges
- Improve production efficiency and quality by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
- Drive initiatives and programs that improve workflow, process efficiencies and quality of work
- Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; and confirming production processes
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with company and customer standards
- Contribute to and collaborate on training programs for operational team members and third-party solution providers
- Perform analysis and identify trends in the inspections and return of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials and recommend corrective actions
- Review, create and maintain SOP documentation of process flows, work instructions adhering to quality standards
- Support the continued implementation of lean concepts throughout the processing center
- Establish, test and ensure compliance with global standards for device testing, data wipe, repair and certification, including compliance with R2, ISO and other standards
- Communicate with management to develop production and design standards.
- Assist in the development of third-party solution providers’ statements of work
- Work collaboratively across organizational teams on project objectives and deliverables
- Contribute to executive updates for senior management and board meetings
Education & Experience
- High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
- 4 years of relevant experience required; including 2 years of experience leading, developing and managing direct reports
- Lean Six Sigma or Equitable Lean/Root Cause Analysis Tools Experience preferred
- Experience in Standards and Certification management
- Experience with completing and closing out Corrective Action Requests
