- Full-Time, Permanent, Office-Based Hours: 37 Hours per week, Monday
- Thursday 8:45am – 5.00pm and Friday

GIS Officer– The Role: In this role you will provide expert advice and guidance on GIS across the Council.
- Provide guidance, communication and development across the GIS work area
- Undertake a wide variety of spatial data capture tasks to ensure our record of GIS data is accurate and up to date, map production and geospatial analysis
- Lead data management improvements ensuring that the data captured by the Council is available using and developing publishing applications to openly share to internal and external stakeholders GIS Officer- You: The ideal candidate will possess the essential qualities:
- A degree which includes strong spatial data component or 3 years equivalent experience
- Experience in spatial database development and experience of implementing spatial data standards across all business areas
- You will demonstrate sound knowledge of knowledge of the Ordnance Survey public services mapping agreement including experience in spatial database development, including design, build, architecture & implementation
- Excellent communication skills are required in order to transfer information to both technical and non-technical customers
