The responsibilities of the Logistics Associate II include handling domestic and international shipping of both non-hazardous and hazardous samples. Owning and supporting waste disposal to comply with all state and national regulations. Support R&D lab with glassware handling and chemical tracking.

What You Will Do:
- Follows all safety procedures and policies.
- Packing and shipping domestic and international dangerous goods and non-chemical shipment.
- Look for operational efficiency improvements with current technology.
- Scanning in packages and keeping records of deliveries
- Deliver samples to proper location (Hood, benchtop etc.)
- Deliver non-chemical mail and deliveries to proper location.
- Responsibility documenting and updating the chemical inventory software and process.
- Loading and Unloading deliver y vehicles with and without forklift
- Verifies quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped.
- Examines all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verifies all information against the packing list and SAP
- Coordinates with other departments such as customer service, production, instant and small pack
- Shipping box assembly
- Trailer loading of packed boxes and pallets
- Identifies items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicates with Supervisor and/or Lead
- Maintains the 5S cleanliness for sample shipping area
- Collect, document and prepare chemical waste for storage and Pick up
- Collect and clean (Dishwasher) glass wear in lab and deliver to bench
- Support Facilities as needed. Conference room chair movement, etc.
Position Details:
- Facility Location: Jersey City, Texas
- Work week and shift:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Compensation package offered: $26.00 an hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Associate degree preferred.
- 5 year experience Packing and shipping domestic and international dangerous goods
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift Certified
- Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification (DOT), Hazmat Air Shipper Certification (IATA)
- Hazmat General Safety Awareness certificates
- Proficient in SAP with printing GHS labels
- Must be able to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal directions.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing shipping and/or receiving responsibilities.
- Be able to properly utilize a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach lift and/or sit-down forklift
- A minimal level of analytical ability is required.
