The Opportunity
The Contracts Assistant will support Econometrica’s Contracts Manager with contract administration and compliance and business development efforts with Federal, State, local, and private sector entities. The Contracts Assistant will provide company-wide support to the Health, Data Analytics, and Housing & Finance groups. The successful candidate will work well under pressure and have the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in contract administration activities from pre-award stages to closeout administration while maintaining clear, concise, organized, and retrievable records according to established practice.
  • Assist in the general administration of FFP, T&M, and CPFF contracts, including the administration of change orders, modifications, and necessary terminations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of contract documentation, including contract modifications and all related administrative documents.
  • Enter and maintain contract summaries (“contract info sheet”) for each Econometrica contract into central database.
  • Track business development costs in central database and prepare monthly reports.
  • Review assigned solicitation/ RFP, RFQ, RFI, and Sources Sought Notice documents and obtain documentation pertaining to insurance, bonding, and other similar requirements.
  • Draft budgets, business/pricing proposals, and payment schedules using already established templates, as assigned by Contracts Manager.
  • Help prepare all representations, certifications, and other administrative documentation as required for all Government and commercial proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to maintain past performance tables and Contractor Performance Assessment Reports for each contract.
  • Serve as back-up to Contracts Manager for online proposal submission or compliance-related systems and setting up a centralized repository of this information.
  • Assist Contracts Manager in the maintenance of multiple GSA schedules, BPAs and IDIQs.
  • Assist in maintaining consultant/subcontractor/partner database and assist in the onboarding process for new partners.
  • Assist with small business utilization, recruitment, and reporting activities.

Education & Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2–3 years’ experience in an administration or coordination role, with progressive responsibility.
  • Extensive expertise using MS Excel, MS Office, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ingenuity with the ability to effectively achieve organizational established goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle areas of delegated responsibility independently, yet collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously while adhering to strict timelines.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and at least 1 year of project management and 1 year of financial reporting or budgeting experience.

Work Environment
This position will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule. The office is located at a Metro stop in beautiful downtown Bethesda, MD, within walking distance of great restaurants and local fare. We have a typical office setting with a quiet to moderate noise level.
