CERTIFIED BMC REMEDY ENGINEER
Onsite in NYC
Your role will involve identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within BMC Remedy applications, conducting root cause analyses, and integrating Remedy with enterprise monitoring tools. Proactive monitoring of Remedy applications and performing risk assessment, remediation, and performance tuning will be crucial aspects of ensuring the system's optimal functionality. You will be responsible for conducting user training sessions for both IT and business teams, crafting comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and user guides.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in the customization, configuration, upgrading, and further integration of the Enterprise Monitoring and Management system. This integration will particularly focus on IBM/Tivoli core products, such as Omnibus and Impact. Drawing from your experience in providing BMC support within customer-focused organizations, you will effectively communicate with team members and customers alike.
Key qualifications for this role include a minimum of 10 years of IT experience in the US, with recent experience in the banking or brokerage sector considered a significant advantage.
Holding certifications such as BMC Certified Developer: AR System, BMC Certified Administrator: AR System, and BMC Certified Administrator: BMC Atrium CMDB is mandatory.
Moreover, you should possess at least 8 years of experience in BMC Remedy as an Admin/Developer, along with 7 years of experience in developing BMC Remedy applications and 5 years of administration experience with the BMC Remedy system.
Your expertise should span BMC Remedy Incident, Service Request Management, BMC Remedy Change, BMC Remedy Problem, BMC Atrium CMDB/Asset Management and/or ADDM Discovery, and BMC Action Request System. Recent experience with various BMC Remedy/ITSM applications, including BMC Helix ITSM - AR System 19.x, BMC Remedy Asset Management 19.x, BMC Remedy Change Management 19.x, BMC Remedy IT Service Management 19.x: Administering, BMC Remedy Knowledge Management 19.x, BMC Atrium CMDB 19.x Administering, BMC Service Request Management 19.x, and Remedy AR System 9.1: Concepts (WBT) is also required.
A track record of participating in at least four Remedy upgrade projects, with two involving the transition from 7.x to 8.x, is expected.
