Storeroom Supervisor
Our Ecoservices subsidiary has an opening for a Storeroom Supervisor at our Houston, T plant.

Responsibilities:

Receive, issue, and conduct inventory control of materials by use of a computer/SAP
-
Inspect all incoming material for accuracy of the order
-
Maintain a running inventory control and flow of maintenance materials through the storeroom
-
Relocate, restock shelves and bins as directed
-
Deliver stock to various plant locations when possible
-
Direct paperwork to proper locations throughout the plant
-
Utilize the stores computer system to locate materials
-
Keep the storeroom area clean and orderly
-
Perform annual cycle counts of all stores inventory
-
Create equipment labels as needed for use throughout the plant
-
Unload incoming shipments as required
-
Perform periodic analysis of storeroom inventory to maintain optimum inventory levels to include:
Equipment standardization
Standardization of supplies or suppliers
Elimination of obsolete parts
Reduction in parts spoilage -
Work closely with maintenance planners and maintenance manager regarding items, costs, and inventory levels

Perform other duties as assigned
HSE Responsibilities:
Participate in weekly and monthly safety meetings and audits-
Responsible for following all corporate and safety polices
-
Inspect safety items upon receipt and ensure they are the proper materials
-
Immediately report any unsafe condition or behavior to your supervisor and write safety work orders or Near Miss reports to document the unsafe conditions or actions
-
Match bill of materials to original order to ensure correctness of materials
-
Keep the storeroom clean and orderly, ensuring the aisles are open and free from tripping or slipping hazards
-
Ensure shelf stocking is appropriate to prevent objects from falling
-
Inspect safety equipment and tools kept in the storeroom for defects or wear
-
Review and, where applicable, assist in writing pertinent storeroom procedures

Participate in risk assessment audits (PHA, JSA, etc.) as applicable

Maintain storage areas for used batteries e-waste. Ship out e-waste, used light bulbs, used batteries, conforming to current policy and procedure
Requirements:

Must know how to operate a computer

Must have good working knowledge of SAP

Good analytical/math skills

Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Need to be able to take accurate measurements

Must be knowledgeable in various materials & specifications used in the plant

Some knowledge of plant processes
-
Be familiar with typical maintenance materials (pipes, fittings, bearings, pumps, etc.)

Able to communicate effectively with all plant-wide personnel
-
Obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
