Job Summary:
ECPI University is seeking an experienced and strategic SEM Specialist to join our marketing team in Virginia Beach. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in search engine marketing (SEM) and a proven track record of managing and optimizing paid Google Search campaigns. This role will be dedicated to developing and executing comprehensive paid search strategies to drive traffic, enhance visibility, and support the university’s marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Paid Search Strategy Development: Create and implement advanced SEM strategies to improve the performance of paid Google Ads campaigns and drive targeted traffic to the university’s websites.
- Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of Google Ads campaigns, including search, display, and video ads. Monitor and analyze campaign performance to ensure alignment with KPIs and budget.
- Keyword Research: Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-value keywords and opportunities for optimization. Develop keyword strategies that maximize ad performance and conversions.
- Ad Copy & Creative: Develop, write, and design ad copy and creative strategies. Collaborate with the design department and content specialists to enhance ad quality, but also possess the skills to independently create compelling ad copy and visuals. Implement A/B testing to optimize ad performance.
- Analytics & Reporting: Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other SEM platforms to track performance, generate reports, and provide actionable insights. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Budget Management: Manage SEM budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on ad spend.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest SEM trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices. Apply new knowledge to enhance paid search strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, design department, content specialists, and web developers to ensure paid search strategies align with overall marketing goals and brand messaging.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads) are a plus.
- Extensive experience (7 years) in SEM, with a strong track record of managing successful Google Ads campaigns.
- Expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other SEM tools and platforms.
- Solid understanding of SEM best practices, keyword research, and ad optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio: Provide a portfolio of performance and data demonstrating past successes and expertise in managing SEM campaigns.
