Job Description:
ECS is currently searching for a full-time Enterprise Architect to support the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is the organization responsible for federal information management and information technology (IT), and complex-wide cybersecurity for NNSA. The OCIO orchestrates, provides, and directs cybersecurity across the NNSA enterprise and to its mission partners. This office manages the IT portfolio, federal IT investments, services, and projects, in alignment with the NNSA and Departmental strategies, as well as other national policy drivers.
NNSA is seeking to modernize its IT and Cybersecurity infrastructure, decommission legacy services and systems, improve Cybersecurity posture, and transition current IT and Cybersecurity services to a set of integrated managed services. As part of its ongoing IT modernization, the NNSA Office of Information Management (NA-IM) is seeking support to manage service integration and perform IT service delivery as required.
The Enterprise Architect will provide leadership across the spectrum of enterprise IT, including end user services, data center modernization, software defined networking. The candidate should leverage modern DevOps powered IT Service Management practices to govern enterprise IT solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
- Coordinating and providing guidance to all integrated NNSA service providers the implementation designs for changes to existing or new IT Services.
- Coordination across integrated NNSA service providers the development of Technology Architecture Service designs and plans that meet requirements and adhere to defined policies and Technology Architecture Services for the design and development of the IT infrastructure and tools required to support the IT Services.
- Coordination planning and analysis efforts to ensure compliance with NNSA requirements including: the continuous monitoring of technical trends through independent research; document and report on products, processes, and services with potential use to align with NNSA business and technology strategy; providing guidance on feasibility studies for the implementation of new technologies.
- Development and maintenance of Enterprise Data Models and Web Service Specifications.
- Creating solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements. Identify design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
- Engage with program teams to incubate, build out, and sustain enterprise IT and data center optimization capabilities, offerings, and solutions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for end-to-end enterprise IT and data center optimization architecture design, including networking, provisioning, management, and the implementation of zero trust patterns.
- Providing support and technical governance, expertise related to enterprise IT and data center optimization architectures, security, deployment, and operations.
Required Skills:
- BS degree and 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 12 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years' experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
- Significant experience (5 years) designing, building, and supporting enterprise IT and data center optimization capabilities and offerings for the Federal Systems Integration market
- Experience in capturing technical requirements and defining technical solutions in the form of conceptual, logical, and physical designs, including the ability to articulate those concepts verbally, graphically and in writing.
- Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired time frame.
- Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and techniques.
- Experience with complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Desired Skills:
- TOGAF Certification
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
- Experience with Service Desk support and operations
- Experience in building enterprise IT and data center operations Managed Services, with service descriptions, SLAs, labor estimates and tool estimates
