ECS is seeking a Computer Systems Engineer to work in our Norman, OK office.
Job Description:
Jr. Level Computer Systems Engineer that will be responsible for the administration of Windows and RHEL Linux based servers.
Required Skills:
- High School degree with some college and 1-3 years of direct job experience. Two years of formal post-high school education may be accepted in place of 2 years of experience.
- Manage physical and virtual Windows/Linux servers, including application installation, security patches, operating system updates, and service packs installation.
- Participate in Information Technology projects and facilitate implementation of IT systems for organizational functional groups and teams.
- Install, configure and maintain Windows servers and services such as Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Internet Information Server (IIS), Network Print Queues, and Hyper-V Server manager.
- Install, configure and maintain Linux servers and services such as Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Network Print Queues, and File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
- Administer Windows / Linux servers and applications, such as Apache Web Server, Tomcat Application Server, SOLR, and PHP Application Server.
- Incorporate new technology within the Information Systems environment.
- Participates in after-hours on-call rotation. On-call incidents may require working from a remote location after normal business hours or traveling to the normal office location if remote diagnostics/user assistance is not successful.
- Participates in normal computer support operations; takes calls from Call Distribution system, opens, updates and closes IT Support Desk Tickets, and resolves user problems or escalates to desktop support or responsible engineer.
