ECS is seeking a Cyber Policy/Research Analyst to work in our Arlington, VA office.

ECS seeks a dynamic and experienced Cyber Policy/Research Analyst to provide Cybersecurity Engineering and strategic consulting services for our national security client. The ideal candidate will provide policy analysis, coordination and documentation services on behalf of both our organization, and our client across a broad portfolio of Federal Civilian cybersecurity products and services. Our customer’s requirements are dynamic and complex; we are seeking individuals who can effectively balance strategic, long-term planning with the tactical day-to-day demands of supporting a mission-focused customer. The ideal candidate must be a fast learner, able to effectively engage resources and work across teams to decompose large, complex problems into workable solutions. An aptitude for learning, strategic planning and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization are a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Applying cybersecurity policy analysis, operational knowledge & experience to advise on the planning, development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve policy objectives
  • Provide government-wide benchmarking policy research, analyses, and evaluation in support of policy development, administration and implementation
  • Facilitate the coordination of relevant working groups and activities aimed at policy analysis and implementation and planning developed by the Policy Group or components
  • Development of work products such as white papers, talking points and briefings to help facilitate the understanding and implementation of policy requirements and strategic initiatives 
  • Guide and assist with strategic communication campaigns, plans, and messaging artifacts to program stakeholders
  • Provide advice, guidance, and analysis support at all levels - from executive to highly technical cyber analysts and engineers

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • 5 years relevant experience providing public policy research, analysis, coordination and advisory services
  • 5 years working within government organizations supporting cybersecurity risk management related policy
  • Experience communicating with and coordinating across multiple stakeholders and teams to align to and execute unified goals and plans
  • Experience developing strategic, operational, and project plans that are measurable and practical
  • Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with proven experience in driving change at a leadership level and achieving program goals through influence and partnership

Desired Skills:

  • Degree in public administration or related field
