ECS is seeking a PowerBuilder Developer to work in our Montgomery, AL office.
Job Description:
Analyzes functional business applications and designs specifications for functional areas such as payroll, logistics, and contracts. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Tests, debugs, and refines computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provides technical direction as required to ensure that program deadlines are met. Creates and/or maintains operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs. Modifies existing software and creates special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications.
Required Skills:
- Highly fluent in PowerBuilder.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL ,JAVA and UNIX.
- Experience with Defense Finance Accounting System (DFAS) and/or Air Force legacy financial information systems.
- Knowledge and experience using operating systems, programming languages, hardware platforms and software development tools related to the Standard Materiel Accounting System (SMAS), the General Accounting and Finance System Reengineered (GAFS-R) and the Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS).
