ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Merrifield, VA office.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Review and edit software release documentation including software requirements specifications, software design documentation, and requirements traceability matrixes.
- Prepare and edit statement of works for major programs
- Assist in developing project schedules
- Document program management processes and create presentations for them
- Assist in consolidating and coordinating cost estimates into a standard template for business cases
- Assist Technology Acquisition & Program Management and other departments in Engineering in conducting equipment evaluations, reviews and potentially participate in on site field activities
- Assist in tracking and deploying production equipment to the Field. Assist in resolving issues related to deployment.
- Provide technical and procedural guidance relating to the development and management of technical documents.
- Prepare formal letters, reports, summaries detailing program management activities
- Prepare and distribute work product documents to end customers
- Write and update technical specifications for automation equipment procurement
- Provide input on program management & guidance on documentation support for TAPM related products and modifications.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Required Skills:
- US Citizen or Green Card holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Technical writer and editor skilled in writing standards, specifications, instruction manuals, report publications and brochures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include, but not limited to MS Office 2010. Includes MS Project and Visio.
