ECU Health Wellness Centers are medical fitness facilities designed to empower members to achieve optimal health. Each of the three locations—Greenville, Washington and Ahoskie—offer a broad range of exercise, aquatic and wellness services for all ages and fitness levels, including personal training, group fitness classes, Exercise is Medicine programs, massage therapy, nutrition counseling and more.
Position Summary
The ECU Health Wellness Attendant assists with high quality, safe and efficient customer service, membership, and child care services of the ECU Health Wellness Center.
Responsibilities
Provides high-quality and efficient customer service to patients, members and guests of the wellness center from the service desk setting.
Communicates warmly and effectively with patients, members and guests in person, by phone and email.
Answers incoming calls and makes outbound calls to members.
Conducts tours, effectively promotes programs, services and memberships.
Facilitates membership and program sales, cancels, holds and related transactions.
Facilitates service recovery.
Provides general information related to wellness center operations, membership, programs & services.
Promotes and holds members and guests accountable to policies and behavior expectations.
Accurately and efficiently perform tasks using club management and Microsoft office software.
Check in/out of members and guests
Point of sale transactions
Appointment scheduling
Membership and program enrollment
Enter/edit member and guest profile information
Perform assigned data entry tasks
Provide direct care to children in accordance with wellness center policies and procedures.
Able to communicate with and engage with child members & guests to provide high quality service and an enjoyable experience.
Able to communicate with parents/guardians of children regarding special needs, behavior concerns and safety incidents.
Actively engages members and guests during exercise to motivate, provide encouragement, navigate to resources, and ensure a positive experience.
Provide basic instruction on equipment use.
Monitors facility for safety and cleanliness.
Completes assigned cleaning and disinfection tasks.
Assist with member and guest programs & events.
Performs opening & closing duties
Minimum Requirements
Nationally Recognized CPR Certification (AHA, Red Cross, NSC, ASHI)
High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher
