The College of Nursing is seeking a RN/BSN faculty to be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the RN/BSN option. All courses are offered through a distance education format. Courses may be writing intensive and may have a focus on domestic or global diversity and may include service learning. Faculty may also be asked to teach courses in other options and College of Nursing departments depending upon teaching needs and expertise of the faculty. The faculty will report directly to the Director of the RN/BSN option in the Department of Baccalaureate Education.Specific responsibilities include:• Planning, teaching and evaluating primarily online RN/BSN courses.• Collaborate with all RN/BSN faculty and director to continuously evaluate and revise, as necessary, the courses and curriculum based on current evidenced-based practice.• Ensures that RN/BSN students are evaluated for various course and program outcomes.• Teaches selected courses in area of expertise.Responsibilities for Tenure Track position include:*Maintaining an active program of research in an area relevant to the mission of the college.*Establishing a funded program of research.*Producing scholarly works, including peer-reviewed publications and presentations at state, national, and/or international levels.*Teaching, developing, and evaluating relevant courses within the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.*Providing academic advisement and research mentorship to students.*Participating in shared governance through college and university-level committee work.
