Ecumen Detroit Lakes is hiring a Clinical Manager, RN. Ecumen Detroit Lakes consists of 101 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 92 nursing home beds and 22 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services.

Responsibilities:
The Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring that the health and safety of all residents are met through visits with staff. The Clinical Director will ensure that staff is trained in medical procedures and policies which are current and up-to-date.
Essential job responsibilities include:
- Completes initial assessment of potential residents to assure that their needs will be met. Implements service agreements with all residents upon move-in. Performs supervisory visits and reviews/revises service agreements as needed and/or required.
- Assures residents have up-to-date care plans. Monitors and maintains resident charts and clinical progress notes.
- Assures all physician orders are signed and implemented with-in 24 hours.
- Maintains and monitors medication administration program. Supervises medication practices and medical equipment being used in the building. Follows-up with physicians regarding medications and/or medical conditions.
- Communicates in resident’s log any information that staff need to be aware of. Assures that staff clearly understand and follow all resident care procedures.
- Provides health and medication training to all new employees as well as continued education for all staff and documents such training to assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations. A minimum of 12 hours of in-services must be held per year.
- Assures compliance with regulations and is available for federal and state licensure surveys.
- Hires, trains, and supervises RNs, LPNs and Resident Assistants.
- Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Works with Housing Director to assure emergency procedures are in place. Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fire drills and other emergency situations.
- Assist in preparation of annual budget for nursing department.
Clinical Manager
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nursing program
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure
- 3 years of related nursing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Previous experience in senior care
