*This is for our N. Charles Street location.*
The Freezer Grocery Clerk provides outstanding customer service, is responsible for product appearance, and profit achievement for the department. Rotates and replenishes freezer merchandise and ensures highest qualities are met. Unloads product from trucks to store in freezers/coolers. Primary location is in the freezer.
Responsibilities
· Rotates and replenishes freezer merchandise,
· Placing orders with a variety of vendors,
· Carry and move boxes/bags weighing up to 50 LBS,
· Initiate interaction with customers by asking questions regarding their shopping needs and providing recommendations,
· Help customers locate items by walking them to the product,
· Manage product presentation by facing and filling shelves as needed,
· Ensure freezers are up to Eddie’s standard of readiness upon store opening; this includes cleanliness, freshness, and variety of all products,
· Handle customer inquiries in a polite and receptive manner,
· Check in deliveries and sign invoices as needed,
· Advise department manager of unavailability or low availability of stock items,
· Perform product inventories,
· Work with the management team to help meet sales goals, promote upcoming events and holidays,
· Dynamically sell product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions,
· Assist with store maintenance and product merchandising, and
· Perform additional duties as required.
