EDENS is retail real estate owner, operator and developer of a national portfolio of 110 places. Our purpose is to enrich community through human engagement. We design our places to achieve 3.5 trips per week and five hours of dwell time. Most of our work—from initial project development and acquisition through to completion—is accomplished in-house, allowing us to be more thoughtful about the design, retail curation and community engagement in our places.

Primary duties include:
- Prepare initial drafts of commercial leases, ancillary leasing documents (extensions, assignments, etc.), commission agreements, short-term occupancy and event agreements, and other related agreements under the supervision of Senior Vice President – Legal, and distribute same.
- Handle the legal administrative needs for the Texas and Pacific team, including processing and distributing legal documents, paying invoices and expenses, etc.
- Complete various projects related to the Company’s ownership and operation of commercial real estate, including: summaries of leases and other legal documents, and research regarding existing lease provisions (e.g., termination rights, co-tenancy, exclusive and restricted uses).
- Process documents for execution, including use of Docusign, and arrange for delivery of documents.
- Prepare memoranda that are presented to the Company’s CEO concurrent with execution of documents.
- Draft internal and external written communications for various members of the regional teams.
Requirements:
- Experience in a commercial real estate setting, including with an owner/developer, a commercial real estate group within a law firm, or landlord and/or tenant representation environment preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in all key MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- High level of independence, as well as a demonstrated ability to assist others in developing and maintaining an organized environment.
- Experience with drafting leases and lease amendments and other commercial real estate documents preferred.
