Scope of Job: The OCC (Operations Control Center) Development Specialist interfaces with OCC Staff and Management to support employee development and training of grid operations, site design specifics, and procedural adherence to Regulatory, Contractual requirements and Company Best Practices. He/she is responsible for the development, dissemination and retention of procedural and associated training materials to staff in efforts to improve on operational understanding and employee development.   Responsibilities: Interact with operators, and regulatory personnel to ensure staff understanding and adherence to plant design, operational, regulatory, and best practices requirements of the OCC as determined by Compliance, NERC, ISO, and contractual needs Create and manage employee development training plan to promote growth and continued learning for operators. Provide one on one and crew training and dissemination during day and night shifts, where necessary. Develop tracking methods of training, retention, and key performance metrics to support employee development Develop, maintain, and enhance processes and procedures for the OCC Operators’ real-time operations. This includes, but is not limited to, Site specific Guidelines and standardized procedures Through internal and external means, develop and track a CEH plan for Operators to follow and complete to maintain NERC Certifications. Support the onboarding and QA of new project integration into systems (Monarch, OCC Tool, Orca, Indji and other applicable systems).  Recommend and assist in the development and implementation of systems enhancements to increase the overall productivity of OCC staff Support communications for OCC through improvement and management of ECRM resources, potential recurring meetings, and communication plans. Support daytime operations as needed All other duties as assigned Supervision of Others: No direct reports Qualifications: Strong understanding of renewables control center operations Strong understanding of grid operations Flexibility in work schedules to accommodate one on one training for shift workers Education/Experience: NERC Certification, Bachelors or equivalent degree preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities –Understand or experience with NERC, FERC and system operator requirementsKnowledge and experience with project management tools and techniquesFive or more years multi shift control center experienceHard worker, motivated self-starter able to work with limited supervision.Must demonstrate excellent leadership and training skills.Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and direct intra- and inter-departmental personnelMust demonstrate good organizational skills, computer skills, and project planning skills.Competency with Microsoft Office Suite applications necessary. Physical Requirements: The OCC Projects Manager spends 95% of the time in the OCC and office environments working at computer workstations or laptops. There may be a need for off site visits to sites, or work-related conferences. Working Conditions: 95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.   Fiscal Responsibilities:  N/A Reasonable Accommodations: Reasonable accommodations may be provided by EDF Renewables to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions, as defined per Company policy.
