What You Bring to the Table:

Education/Training: B.S. preferred 

5 years’ experience in IT

Minimum 5 years’ experience designing and developing on Tandem Non-Stop systems

5 years’ experience in coding, compiling, troubleshooting and supporting COBOL programs in a Tandem Mainframe environment

5 years JCL programming experience/exposure

2 years’ experience in VB .NET or other .NET Language (preferred)

Ability to gain experience in multiple technical areas over time

Incident and problem management experience

Critical Skills:

Excellent support documentation writing skills

Strong analytical and communication skills

Good listening and verbal communication skills

Required Skills And Experience:

COBOL, SCOBOL, SQL, TMF, TACL, DDL, Pathway, and Guardian OS

Preferred Skills And Experience:

Netbatch, TAL, FTP, RMS, XML, Golden Gate, Tibco, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, etc)

5 Years of progressively responsible experience in systems development, application planning, analysis, design and life cycle development.

Career concentration in Financial or Warehouse Management Systems development

Previous experience troubleshooting complex application and system related problems

Skilled at managing multiple priorities with demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of Business and IT groups including management

Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and efficiently

Demonstrated ability to mentor and work well in team, and end-user community

Ability to effectively self-manage working independently via technical specification

Strong analytical skill capable of understanding and documenting business processes and functional requirements
