Data Center Engineer
The Data Center Engineer will provide tailored solutions to support our customers' growth. The Engineer’s deep understanding of Space, Power and Cooling Requirements in critical facilities allows them to provide growth plans and ensure reliable and safe operations. This position can be performed from anywhere in the United States and reports to VP Engineering.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide Technical Guidance, Floorplans and Capacity Review during Pre-Sales Activities
- Review Capacities and provide recommendations on expansion projects
- Coordinate the Design Process, manage budget reviews and support construction efforts for new projects and existing site expansions, while working with Partners, Contractors and Internal Teams
- Maintain thorough knowledge, accurately enforce and revise as needed all SOPs and company practices
- Develop and execute process improvements
- Review, optimize, and innovate on site designs
- Travel as needed (approximately 25% of the time)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven extensive Data Center design and build experience
- Electrical and Mechanical experience with thorough understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Systems that are supporting the Critical Environments
- Expert-level AutoCAD and REVIT skills
- Ability to work with and manage many groups and disciplines including vendors
- Ability to prepare and manage to budget and forecasts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superb customer service skills
Experience/Education
- Extensive experience with Data Center Engineering and Construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent work experience
