The pay range and the specific pay for the successful candidate are determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Southern California Edison Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47.

Become a Senior T&D Training Instructor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be part of the Transmission & Distribution training team, under Powerline Trades that will support all Field Accounting Service Planning (FASP) Training, and its peer school in Powerline Trades. This person will provide training support and guidance to our Field Accounting and Service Planning organizations, as well as classroom support to non-FASP classes, such as CPR and Groundman training. The successful candidate will deliver a variety of Training sessions at the work locations and will be responsible for coordinating the training logistics and scheduling for both classroom & field training. - Facilitates training in a classroom environment as well as non-classroom environments such as field training.
- Provides subject matter expertise on changes/improvements to work processes, curriculum, test materials, new technologies and procedures.
- Administers proctored classroom training tests and field assessments.
- Prepares classroom, the training yard and materials to meet the needs of upcoming training modules using Rise and PowerPoint presentations.
- Reviews class participation, test & assessment results with students.
- Provides classroom/training yard support to other instructors, different department units operating on training campus or off-site, as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Five or more years of experience working in Planner 2 or higher-level Planning role within the electric utility industry.
- Valid drivers' license.
The preferred
- Proficient in AUD.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
You should know
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

- Position may require up to 10% traveling to training facilities throughout the SCE service territory.
- Position may require limited travel to other training facilities, such as AGTAC, Tulare S/C, Daggett, etc. when needed.

- This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following test(s): Edison Individual Contributor Workstyles (Test #8203). Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
