Coordinate engagement of customers including funding partners, participants, and visitors of the PACL
Responsibilities
- Facilitate career awareness and employability skills instruction in an environment that reflects employer goals and attitudes
- Counsel, motivate, and encourage job seekers in advancing employment, training, and retention goals and provide support in resolving issues that may impede successful job placement and retention
- Plan and coordinate workshop schedules six months in advance and notify partners
- Maintain records in CWDS, including orientation schedules, attendance, case notes, and additional services that reflect customer engagement
- Organize customer orientations, including virtual and in-person sessions
- Work with EDSI’s curriculum development team to develop and prepare EDSI and PACL curriculum to stay current with new trends and developments
- Support job seekers by providing resume guidance and creation as well as interview preparation, such as mock interviews and industry specific expectations
- Maintain partnership with Full Circle by managing CWDS data, including workshops, monthly events calendar, and entering post workshop attendance
- Conduct group and individual career-planning sessions with job seekers
- Assess job seekers’ skills and suitability for referral to available job openings
- Assist job seekers in identifying appropriate job preparation resources and use of job search software programs
- Maintain a caseload of 20-25 participants
- Reach weekly and quarterly target measurements and track progress on required reports as they pertain to program operations
- Stand as the Manager on Duty when leaders are unavailable
- Mentor and assist with training of new Career Advisors
- Act as Onboarding Champion by following procedures for onboarding new EDSI employees
- Meet with customers in the CRC and provide support as the initial point of contact for participants
- Respond to direct or forwarded participant calls from the switchboard
- Direct customers to the appropriate partners and team members
- Set up meeting rooms for Chester County meetings (Workforce Development Board, Barrier Committee, etc.) and partner workshops
- Assist team members and partners with technology issues
- Organize and coordinate in-house and external job fairs
