Title: Re-Entry Facilitator
Classification: Non-exempt
Scope of Position: This position is responsible for the development of customized critical work readiness and employability skills curricula for the purpose of job readiness. The position will be responsible for the creation and annual revision of all Employability Skills Workshop/Professional Talent course materials. This position will also be responsible for facilitating workshops for customers with a focus on job seeking and job retention to enhance their overall work readiness and competitiveness. This person must be knowledgeable on all programs and services to ensure that the customer gains access to the necessary support and community-based referrals needed to ensure their success.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Instruct job seekers individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations
- Conduct classes, workshops, and demonstrations to teach principles, techniques, or methods in subjects such as life skills and workforce re-entry skills
- Conduct mock interviews and coach for improvement.
- Support job seekers in using technology to submit job applications as needed.
- Create a supportive classroom learning environment where Re-Entry customers are effectively engaged
- Prepare materials and facilitation rooms for workshop activities including virtual and in-person sessions
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet Re-Entry job seekers’ varying needs, abilities, and interests
- Administer assessment instruments and compile client assessment data
- Observe and evaluate job seekers’ work to determine progress and make suggestions for improvement
- Provide job search support in the areas of resume writing, online applications, interviewing and cover letters
- Provide one-on-one assistance as necessary based on job seeker’s needs
- Maintain accurate and complete participant records as required, by collaborating with Re-Entry Career Advisor and Case Manager
- Offer pre-enrollment services to PA CareerLink® walk-ins as scheduled by the Site Administrator
- Educate job seekers about local Labor Market Information (LMI) related to career pathways
- Provide financial literacy guidance related to wages and participants’ career goals
- Assess participants’ existing skills, aptitudes, and goals
- Collaborate with Case Manager to identify and remediate participants’ barriers to success
- Maintain case notes following local policies in the CWDS system of record
- Ensure that all Re-Entry participants are registered through the CareerLink website
- Provide coverage as needed for MVP monthly workshop sessions

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Notable experience in training, education, or career development
- Must be able to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
- Experience in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to manage behavior in a classroom setting
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, training, human resources, liberal arts or related area is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
