Busy mid-sized immigration firm in Coral Gables seeks an associate immigration attorney available to start immediately. Attorney must be fluent in Spanish and English and preferably have experience working with immigration law. Position includes representing clients at USCIS and Immigration Courts nationwide, federal court litigation (writs of mandamus and petitions for review), and representing unaccompanied minor children in their immigration court proceedings, including family court dependency and custody proceedings. Must have excellent communication, writing, time management and analytical skills. Attorney will also assist with initial client consultations as needed. Some travel may be required. Must be licensed by a State Bar; Florida Bar license preferred but not required. Paid vacation and competitive salary to commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of client's case and strategy.
  • Draft pleadings and motions.
  • Perform legal research and analysis.
  • Represent clients in Immigration Courts, USCIS Interviews.
  • Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and cases for trial.
  • Handle administrative aspects of cases.
  • Conduct legal research to develop strategy and legal arguments.
  • Interact with clients, government agencies, outside counsel, and co-workers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
