Department Leader, User Experience
You’ll direct our large and growing UX Research and Accessibility disciplines within the UX organization. You will play a key role in driving strategy as it relates to providing value to the firm’s portfolios of digital products. Successful candidates will be able to:
You’ll direct our large and growing UX Research and Accessibility disciplines within the UX organization. You will play a key role in driving strategy as it relates to providing value to the firm’s portfolios of digital products. Successful candidates will be able to:
- Collaborate with product leadership to align department activities, strategies, responsibilities and objectives with the needs of digital portfolios
- Direct the strategy and implementation of UX processes, including -- oversight of tooling and governance -- within the research and accessibility spaces
- Leading an effective talent strategy (i.e., hiring, development planning, talent reviews, succession planning) to attract, develop and retain a diverse team of leaders and associates
- Ensure leaders responsible to you effectively communicate, collaborate, and drive for the right results
- Manage and develop self while internalizing leadership feedback
- Build strong relationships across the UX organization, the Technology division, Legal & Compliance teams, and with the extended product leadership team
- Proactively nurture relationships with experience teams across the firm, and support productive collaboration between teams
- Help drive the firm’s inclusive culture through participation in relevant groups, both internally and externally
Qualifications Required in the Job:
• Bachelor's degree preferred or related work experience.
• Successful passing of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam within 18 months from date of hire.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to Technology with at least 3 years of Team Leader (or equivalent) responsibilities preferred.
• Understanding of the department’s systems, processes and technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; develops relationships; seen as credible and trustworthy.
Technical Skills:
• Required understanding of technologies related to or dependent on the department’s systems.
• Knowledge of business system interactions, infrastructure dependencies, system controls, monitoring, etc.
• Understanding of system development methodologies and processes within IS (change management, QA, Project Life Cycle, etc.)
